ZEMENT Stone® Manufactured Stone Veneer Quality

It starts with the customized cement formula we use in every project, that's formulated to withstand the ever-changing (and sometimes severe) weather in Colorado. After it's mixed and poured, the stone cures for 24 hours, then remains in a climate-controlled environment for 3-4 days.

Our quality is reflected in the strength of our manufactured stone. While nothing else can equal the strength and density of natural stone, it doesn't always match the shape or color of a specific project. Granite has a density of around 25,000 psi (pounds per square inch), and most manufactured stone meets and exceeds the AC51 requirements of 1,800 psi – usually between 2,000 and 3,000 psi.

In our most recent test from samples cast the week of July 18, 2011, ZEMENT's precast stone veneer had an average compressive strength of 6,130 psi – over three times the AC51 minimum requirement. It also went through extensive freeze-thaw testing. At the end of 50 freeze-thaw cycles, the average weight loss was only 1.3% - again, exceeding the AC51 requirement of 3.0%.

You can purchase ZEMENT Stone directly from our warehouse; or request it by name from your home builder, architect or installer on your next project.
